Ah, got it. I know they released a version without the illustrations here -- I guess trying to get the sort of market that would sneer at anything that looked too much like a children's storybook with pretty pictures -- but the version with the Charles Vess art was out first in comic book shops, where folks who were already fans of Gaiman and Vess snapped it up...
The Drunkhouse, as my local friends nickname the place, is fun -- that sort of theater isn't the most terribly common sort of thing over here, either. It doesn't have the huge screens and fancy sound systems of the big theaters, but it's a fun, casual atmosphere -- like a good friendly neighborhood pub that serves food and drinks and just happens to run movies, too. Between the cheap ticket prices and the alcohol, even mediocre movies suddenly become a lot more fun when you see them here. XD
