Website rec

I was looking for a website of Saiyuki fic lately, and having a terrible time locating it. A comment from [livejournal.com profile] smillaraaq was a big help in finding it again.

Since I don't want to lose it (until the day that the author dismantles the site completely), I'm posting the link for it here. I don't think there's anything above an R rating, but it's got lots of good stuff that's worth a read. :D

Ah, thank you! I've read this person's fic before, but I think that was another one from the early reading binge before I started being stricter about the memory/bookmark recording; and going through that page I found a half-remembered story that I've been futilely hunting for several months. Huzzah!

Smilla has a mind like a steel trap, she always remembers these things :D

Excellent! So glad the link proved to be useful--it's a good find all around. ^_^

So true! And not just the remembering, but knowing all kinds of internet sources for searching, that's impressive as well. :)

From your descripton (and a couple of broken links there) I'm guessing she's had fic archives on a couple of different webpages over the years? I'm guessing I must have read one of the other now-dead pages because the layout here (yellow headers on gray, ick!) and some of the art looked very unfamiliar, even though I recognized the actual content of the stories.

Now if I could only find the LJ comment thread I stumbled across, back in my very earliest days of poking at the fandom, where SOMEBODY was discussing the boys' pronoun usage and talking about Hakkai only using "ore" when the limiters were off...I read that back when I was so new to this I had no idea who any of the folks I was reading were, and I've been trying to track it down again ever since.

*blushes*

I'm just inquisitive and good at remembering useless things, really. Learning something IMPORTANT like a new address or phone number? Takes me FOREVER. Poetry, fannish trivia, odd historical factoids? I can rattle 'em off without even trying...

I only wish there were something like the Wayback Machine that archived images...it kills me when I find dead links to fanart pages that sound wonderful. Or forget to snag EGS stuff locally before the gallery gets redone AGAIN. (I don't suppose either of you have a copy of the pic that used to be in the pr0ny final sub-section, with both Hakkai and Gojyo half-dressed in open kimono and tabi?)
