[livejournal.com profile] springkink prompts are up. Claiming starts tomorrow. (Or is that today? Not sure what time zone the mod is using.)

Claiming should start some time within the next 24 hours, anyway....

ETA: Claiming's officially started.

Two months to write three fics. That should work. (Ironically, the pick that's got the most time is also the one currently bouncing around demanding that an outline be typed out for it *right now*. Arg.)

So have any of them caught your fancy?

Eh heh heh. *sweatdrop* Too many, I'm afraid. But there's one prompt in particular that's proving especially tempting. ^_^

Fortunately the posting isn't until June, which is plenty of time for writing. Therefore I'm seriously considering signing up, this round.

...How about yourself? See anything on the lists that looks intriguing? ^^

Well, I kind of liked the marking one, although I can't yet tell if that is because I am a perv or because I want to write it. Especially since I am the world's slowest writer (as you know);_; I think I am leaning on the side of just waiting and seeing what people do with them, although in the past I have done that and no one has claimed them.

Oh yes! That one caught my attention as well--of course anything with youkai!Hakkai pushes all the right buttons. (By the same token, I'm also half-tempted by the tentacles prompt, if only because tentacles vs. vines crackfic would be so much fun to write.) ^^

There are so many prompts that I think are quite brilliant, but I don't think I could do them justice. It makes me a bit sad when they go unclaimed. I guess that's why it's nice that the prompts that got left out carry over to the next round for a second chance.

I'm not sure I dare do anything with that group yet ... and saiyuki_time is keeping me pretty occupied!

*grin* It's true, you've been very busy!

There are so many stellar authors posting to [livejournal.com profile] saiyuki_time, I find that I'm having a hard time keeping up with the influx of fanfic. (I guess it's good that the stories are all pretty short?)

Yes, involvement in too many comms can definitely be too much of a good thing.... ^_^

Wow...lots of fandoms. :) I was surprised to see a couple of DBZ prompts in there. However, neither seemed to be my cup tea.

Lots of Saiyuki...don't know that any caught my muses' attention, although there were several I thought, "Can't wait to see what someone does with this!"

There are usually a couple of DBZ prompts each round. If you didn't see anything inspiring this round, check back again after June.

although there were several I thought, "Can't wait to see what someone does with this!"

*laugh* I think that's one of the best things about writing for prompts. 99 times out of 100, the writers come up with a story that is completely different from any direction I would have taken. There's definitely a sense of anticipation while waiting to browse the creativity in the challenge results. ^^

I'm hoping to snag some Shonen Onmyouji, WA, Get Backers, Ouran....there's a CCS yuri fic that caught my attention, too....there are a LOT of fandoms out there!

.....I shouldn't be doing this, I have way too many fic commitments.

Please tell me you're doing some WA fic. Please? The fandom is dying for want of decent writers....

[identity profile] freeradical9.livejournal.com 2008-04-06 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it's a surprisingly eclectic mix (even some movie and book sources, as well as the wealth of anime and video game prompts).

.....I shouldn't be doing this, I have way too many fic commitments.

Ah, but this is where writing speed works as an advantage. ...And the fics only have to be 100 words in length. *emitting enabler vibes* ^^

Please tell me you're doing some WA fic. Please?

Ahaha...oh, but there are some really gorgeous WA prompts, aren't there? There is a Bus Gamer prompt as well that's quite tempting. Frankly, I would love to write for one of Minekura-sensei's other series. Unfortunately, I write *so* *slowly* and have so little disposable free time between my job and my kid--and I seem to be averaging about 4,000 words per fic (not small projects, no). I would hate to claim a prompt and then not have time to finish the fic for it. As it is, it was extremely difficult to take my list of fourteen original prompt claims, and to narrow it down to only three. *sigh*

I'll certainly keep any unclaimed WA prompts in mind, though, just in case inspiration strikes between now and June. ^_^
