Health issues

Have not been around at all for the past two weeks due to an abrupt and unexpected surgery.
I'd rather forget the whole experience, so I won't go into the gory details. Suffice to say there was an extended hospital visit, many, many tests, and a day and a half spent talking to experts and exploring my options, trying to find a way to avoid the inevitable.
Currently, I'm healing up at home. While I'm very glad that the procedure had a positive outcome, it's difficult to escape the follow-up frustration at the lack of stamina and mobility that goes along with recovery. *sigh*

Date: 2008-11-23 03:38 pm (UTC)Oh, you like Furuba? It was my first shoujo series. Once I found out about the differences in types of manga, I realized that I was reading all shounen/seinen series, and asked my f-list for suggestions for shoujo manga. Almost everyone agreed that Fruits Basket was a must read. The premise is ridiculous, but there's tons of emotional power, which is what really grabs me anyway. I think I like Shigure best, overall, even though he's twisted and looking for love in all the wrong places ... I also like Hatsuharu and Rin.
